Overview
The Emerging Company CEO Council is comprised of CEOs from emerging semiconductor companies and their suppliers.
Vision
To provide a neutral forum for CEOs from emerging semiconductor companies to meet quarterly and discuss trends, opportunities, challenges, and solutions.
Mission
To provide advice and counsel to the GSA Board of Directors on the challenges and issues facing the industry’s smaller, emerging companies and assist in developing strategies for industry-wide solutions to the most critical challenges and provide peer-to-peer and customer to supplier networking and interaction opportunities.
Objective
To reduce the barriers and improve the probabilities for success of emerging companies in the semiconductor industry.
Current Areas of Focus
- Capital Markets – Promote a wider understanding of the shifting sands of VC funding environments
- Business Cost Structure – Encourage the formation of vendor programs aimed at providing more cost effective business and engineering solutions for small scale companies
- Exit Strategies – Monitor the environment for IPOs and evaluate alternative exit channels & strategies for our member companies
- Alternative Business Models – Evaluate and compare our collective experience with alternative business models targeting lower entry cost or improved cost efficiencies
- Globalization – Opportunity or threat? Challenges unique to managing business start-up and growth with foreign operations
