Ajit Manocha
Executive Vice President and General Manager of the IC Manufacturing Operations,
Philips Semiconductors

Ajit Manocha is the executive vice president and general manager of the IC manufacturing operations for Philips Semiconductors. In addition, he is responsible for all divisional manufacturing and integral supply chain strategies.

Mr. Manocha has focused on several areas of responsibility within Philips, ranging from leading global sales operations and eBusiness to heading U.S. foundries operations, both based in the U.S. From September 1995 until August 2000, he was responsible for the management of two large wafer fabs of Philips Semiconductors.

Prior to joining Philips Semiconductors, Mr. Manocha held several positions with AT&T Microelectronics. His career started at AT&T Bell Laboratories as a research scientist where he was granted over a dozen U.S. and international patents for several novel inventions in the field of technology for microelectronics. From there he moved on to applied development, manufacturing (in the U.S. and Spain), business development and strategic alliances responsibilities within AT&T Microelectronics.

David D. French
President and Chief Executive Officer,
Cirrus Logic, Inc.


David D. French joined Cirrus Logic, Inc. as president and chief operating officer in June 1998 and was named chief executive officer in February 1999. Under Mr. French's leadership, Cirrus Logic has emerged as a world leader in audio integrated circuits, such as audio converters and audio digital signal processors, as well as industrial mixed-signal and embedded ICs.

With more than 20 years of semiconductor experience, Mr. French came to Cirrus Logic from Analog Devices where he served as a vice president and general manager. During his tenure at Analog Devices, he was instrumental in driving the company's growth in markets served by advanced DSP and mixed-signal processing solutions.

Before joining Analog Devices, Mr. French held management positions at Texas Instruments and Fairchild Semiconductor. At Texas Instruments, he played a key role in driving the sales and market share growth of products based on the TMS320 architecture.
