GSA Panel Discussion at CES January 9, 2008


Consumer electronics is a significant volume growth driver for the semiconductor industry. Traditional product development dynamics unique to the semiconductor industry may not be well understood or valued by consumer electronics firms facing their own unique set of market imperatives. While the goals of semiconductor vendors and CE OEMs are not necessarily in conflict, they may be misaligned for success — for either party. 

This first time panel at CES will leverage a joint survey and report collaboration between GSA, CEA and KPMG.  The panel will discuss the key metrics driving product development behavior with both semiconductor and consumer electronics companies and will explore how semiconductor companies and consumer electronics OEMs can better partner to improve time-to-market and product quality.  The final report will be provided to GSA and CEA members and KPMG contacts.
