Danny Biran

Danny Biran

Danny Biran joined Altera in January 2005 as vice president, product and corporate marketing with over 20 years of semiconductor industry experience. Most recently, he served as the president, CEO, and member of the board of directors of Silverback Systems, a privately held company that develops silicon solutions for storage networks. Prior to that, Mr. Biran held vice president and general management positions at LSI Logic and several engineering management and marketing positions at National Semiconductor. He holds BSEE and MBA degrees from Tel Aviv University.

Dwight Decker

Dwight Decker

Dr. Decker currently serves as non-executive chairman of the board for Conexant Systems, Inc., a leading provider of semiconductor solutions for broadband communications and the digital home; Skyworks Solutions, Inc., a wireless communications chipmaker; and Mindspeed Technologies, Inc., a communications infrastructure semiconductor company. He also serves on the boards of BCD Semiconductor, a private analog component manufacturer in Shanghai, China; Newport Media, a private semiconductor company focused on mobile broadcast media markets; and Pacific Life, a provider of life insurance and financial-services products. Dwight is a semiconductor industry veteran with nearly 20 years of business experience. Most recently he was chairman and CEO of Conexant Systems, Inc. He served as chairman and CEO of Conexant from the time of the company's spin-off from Rockwell International in January 1999 through February 2004. At that time, he became chairman of the board, returning to the position of CEO in November 2004 until his retirement in July 2007. Dr. Decker received his bachelor's degree in mathematics and physics from McGill University and his doctorate in applied mathematics from the California Institute of Technology.

Mark Edelstone

Mark Edelstone joined JPMorgan as a Managing Director and Head of Global Semiconductor Investment Banking in 2007.  Prior to joining JPMorgan, Mr. Edelstone was a Managing Director and Global Leader for Semiconductor Research at Morgan Stanley from 1997 to 2007.  While at Morgan Stanley, Mr. Edelstone was actively involved in the IPOs of leading semiconductor companies, such as Agere, Atheros, ARM Holdings, Broadcom, Cavium Networks, Conexant, MMC Networks, NVIDIA, ON Semiconductor, QED, Silicon Laboratories, SiRF, and Spreadtrum.  Between 1989 and 1997, Mr. Edelstone followed the semiconductor industry at Prudential Securities, where he was employed as a Managing Director.  Prior to joining Prudential Securities, Mr. Edelstone served as a portfolio manager and market strategist for Comprehensive Market Timing, Inc., a corporation that he co-founded.  Mr. Edelstone received his undergraduate degree in Political Economics from the University of California, and holds an MBA in Finance, with a concentration in Investments, from Golden Gate University in San Francisco.  In addition, Mr. Edelstone holds the Chartered Financial Analyst and Chartered Market Technician designations.

Sholmo Gradman

Mr. Gradman is a seasoned executive of high-technology companies. Mr. Gradman gained his rich managerial and global experience while living both in Israel & the U.S. and working as a senior executive in multinational firms such as IBM Corporation, Orbotech Inc. and Monterey Design Systems, Inc. In the past years, he has led (as CEO/Vice President) four companies to success. Sol works today as the active chairman of I-Com Mobile and a board member in Calanit Carmon Ltd., a publicly traded company in TASE. Mr. Gradman is the founder and publisher of TAPEOUT Magazine – the first and only magazine dedicated to the semiconductor industry in Israel. Mr. Gradman is highly involved with the Israeli high tech industry. He serves as the Chairman of the HTCF (Israel’s High Tech CEO Forum). In addition, he is the Chair person of Raanana Conference.

Harris

Colin Harris is vice president, worldwide operations at PMC-Sierra.  He is responsible for all aspects of worldwide manufacturing including supplier relationships, product testing and assembly.  Mr. Harris also oversees quality and reliability, product engineering, and design services.  Previously, he was vice president of IC technology and was responsible for developing the company’s computer-aided design, physical design, and quality organizations into best-in-class groups delivering semiconductor solutions. Mr. Harris joined PMC-Sierra (formerly a division of MPR Teltech) as operations manager in 1989.  In 1992, he was promoted to director of operations and subsequently director of quality assurance.  He began his career as a product engineer in wafer operations at Mitel Semiconductor in 1980 and went on to hold several engineering positions including manager of IC design.

Dov Moran

Dov Moran is Founder, CEO and Chairman of modu Ltd. Prior thereto, Mr. Moran was the founder, Chairman and CEO of msystems, that grew in eighteen years to close to $1B in Sales. The company, that invented the USB Flash Drive (DiskOnKey™), FlashDisk (DiskOnChip™) and other innovative flash data storage devices, was acquired by SanDisk Corp the end of 2006. In addition, Mr. Moran is the Chairman of Tower Semiconductor and Biomas, a bio-tech company. Mr. Moran holds a B.Sc. in Computers and Electronic Engineering (with honors) from the Technion, Israel Institute of Technology.

 

Wim Roelandts

Since January 1996, Willem P. "Wim" Roelandts has served at the helm of Xilinx as President and CEO. In August 2003, he assumed the position of Chairman of the Board. Under Roelandts' leadership, Xilinx has grown to $1.7 billion, significantly expanding its business globally and diversifying into higher volume consumer markets. Today, the company commands more than 50 percent market segment share in the programmable logic device (PLD) market and ranks as one of the world's top five ASIC/PLD vendors, second only to IBM (Source: iSuppli, 2005).

Ron Torten

Ron Torten has over 10 years of experience in executive and general management positions.  Mr. Torten came to Inphi from NemeriX, where he was the Chief Executive Officer. Prior to his time at NemeriX, Ron was Vice President, worldwide materials at Agilent Technologies where he was responsible for $1.3B in spending for Agilent's Semiconductor Products Group.  Before Agilent, he worked as Vice President and General Manager for the Networking Entertainment Division at Agere Systems.  He also held a variety of product marketing and supply chain positions at Quantum Corporation. Mr. Torten holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology as well as an MBA from UC Davis.
