Global Semiconductor Alliance (GSA) Events

GSA Industry Innovation Series   March 23, 2010
Sponsored by:

   Oracle

Since its inception, the semiconductor industry has been based on innovation. For almost 40 years it has consistently met or exceeded the expectations defined by Moore's law. The industry has become a victim of its own success. Customers have come to expect better products and better service delivered at significantly lower prices.

In response to this pressure the industry has transformed into a predominantly outsourced manufacturing model with complex supply chains that span the globe. Successfully managing the supply chain has become a key point of differentiation among competitors who now share the same manufacturing resources.

Inaccurate forecasts, volatile demand, short product life cycles, variability in execution and long manufacturing lead times are just some of the challenges that confront today's semiconductor companies.

GSA would like to invite you to join industry leaders and peers to discuss innovative supply chain management techniques that will allow your company to meet these challenges and deliver substantial benefits to your bottom line.

Flexible Supply Chains During an Uncertain Market Recovery
As the semiconductor industry emerges from the global recession as part of a broader yet uncertain market recovery, large and small semiconductor companies alike are faced with the same issue: how much of the existing supply chain solution can be leveraged and rationalized against the need for flexible supply chains to manage volatile demand?

In response to this pressure the industry has transformed into a predominantly outsourced manufacturing model with complex supply chains that span the globe. Successfully managing the supply chain has become a key point of differentiation among competitors who now share the same manufacturing resources.

Inaccurate forecasts, uncertain demand, short product life cycles, variability in execution and long manufacturing lead times are just some of the difficulties that confront today's semiconductor companies in these challenging times.

This keynote will focus on techniques to address these challenges by implementing and deploying flexible supply chains during an uncertain market recovery.
