Cristiano Amon

Cristiano Amon serves as executive vice president, Qualcomm Technologies, Inc., and co-president of Qualcomm Mobile and Computing (QMC), the world’s largest provider of wireless chipsets and software solutions. In this role, and in partnership with Murthy Renduchintala, he is responsible for the oversight of all activities related to Qualcomm's semiconductor business within the mobile and computing segment. Amon also serves as a member of Qualcomm's executive committee.

Prior to his co-president role, Amon served as Senior Vice President of Product Management of QMC, managing the company’s wireless chipset portfolio. While at Qualcomm, he was also the chief technical officer of Vésper, a wireless operator in Brazil.

Mr. Amon joined Qualcomm in 1995 as an engineer and throughout his tenure held several other technical and leadership roles. Amon also held positions in NEC, Ericsson and Velocom Inc.

Mr. Amon holds a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from UNICAMP – Universidade Estadual de Campinas, São Paulo, Brazil.

He has also served as a director at several semiconductor companies, most recently at Micrel, Atheros Communications (acquired by Qualcomm), and Energy Micro AS (acquired by Silicon Labs). Currently Dan serves on the Board of Directors of Scintera Networks.

He is currently CEO of CamSemi, a fabless semiconductor business focused on high performance and energy efficient power conversion for the Networking, Mobile and LED Lighting markets and the convergence of these applications in the context of the Internet of Things and the Smart Home.

Baillie was, for three years from its inception, Chair of the GSA EMEA Council and is now a member of the GSA Board. He has a Masters Degree in Microelectronics and Business Studies and a Bachelors degree in Applied Physics. He is a keen skier, cyclist and tennis player.

Before joining Rambus, Ron was the chief executive officer for MobiWire (formerly Sagem Wireless, UPEK, which later merged with AuthenTec) and Wavecom, a publicly traded French wireless solutions company. Ron has also served as executive vice president of the Client Systems Group at Agere Systems and has held a number of senior executive roles at other companies, including Motorola and IBM Microelectronics.
Ron holds a bachelor’s degree, a master’s and a Ph.D. in materials science and engineering from Cornell University.

Mark Bohr is an Intel Senior Fellow and Director of Process Architecture and Integration. He joined Intel in 1978 after graduating from the University of Illinois and is a member of the Logic Technology Development group located in Hillsboro, Oregon. Mark is currently directing early process development activities for Intel’s 7 nm generation logic technology. He is an IEEE Fellow, recipient of the 2003 IEEE Andrew S. Grove Award, recipient of the 2012 IEEE Jun-ichi Nishizawa Medal, and a member of the U.S. National Academy of Engineering. He holds 77 patents in the area of integrated circuit processing and has authored or co-authored 50 published papers.

A semiconductor-industry veteran of more than 30 years, Mr. Boudre gained extensive international experience through his previous positions managing industrial operations for IBM Semiconductor, STMicroelectronics, Motorola Semiconductor, and Atmel. From 1997 to 2006, he managed European operations for KLA-Tencor, one of the world's top five semiconductor equipment manufacturers. He was subsequently appointed Vice President for both the US and Europe.

Mr. Boudre holds a graduate degree in chemistry from France's Ecole Nationale Superieure de Chimie de Toulouse.

Patrick served as well as CEO of Hagenuk Telecom Gmbh in Germany. Co-founder of UPEK (FingerPrint sensors) a company that was successfully sold to Authentec and then to Apple in 2012.

Patrick is also board member and investors in Xid and,DominoPos 2 high tech companies based in Singapore.

Robert A. Bruggeworth is president and chief executive officer of RFMD. Prior to his current role, he served as president of RFMD from June 2002 until January 2003. Mr. Bruggeworth was formerly president of the wireless products group of RFMD, before which he was vice president of wireless products.

Prior to joining RFMD, Mr. Bruggeworth was employed at AMP Inc., a supplier of electrical and electronic connection devices, from July 1983 to April 1999, serving most recently as vice president of global computer and consumer electronics, based in Hong Kong, China. In addition to serving on RFMD's board of directors, Mr. Bruggeworth is also a member of the board of directors of Guilford Technical Community College in Greensboro, NC and the Mine Safety Appliances Company in Pittsburgh, PA. He is a graduate of Wilkes University, Wilkes-Barre, PA.

Rick Cassidy

Throughout his career Cassidy has demonstrated a keen ability to manage both the technical and business areas of the semiconductor industry. His leadership and drive have had a dramatic and lasting impact on the way semiconductors are designed and manufactured.

Cassidy became President, TSMC North America in January 2005 and was elected a Corporate Vice President, TSMC, Ltd. in November 2008. Since joining the company in 1997 as Vice President, Account Management, he has driven many of the strategic initiatives and business process improvements that helped TSMC achieve its current market position. He also served as Senior Vice President, Operations, instituting productivity and business process efficiencies that kept customers and the company on-course during one of the semiconductor industry's most turbulent times; and Executive Vice President, Office of the President, TSMC North America.

He began his career at Fairchild Semiconductor Company (later acquired by National Semiconductor) where he held a series of executive and management positions in engineering, manufacturing, quality and reliability, and marketing. Prior to Joining TSMC, he was Vice President and General Manager of National's Military & Aerospace Division. Cassidy serves on the GSA board of directors, an organization dedicated to the advancement of the worldwide semiconductor industry.

A graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point with a bachelor's degree in engineering, Cassidy served as a U.S. Army officer before embarking on his business career.

Andrew Chang

Andrew Chang is the Corporate Vice President and General Manager of Design Technology. His current job responsibilities include EDA, CPU/GPU implementation, manufacturing engineering, QA, supply chain management, procurement, information technology and MediaTek Singapore operation.

In 1997, Mr. Chang joined the start-up of MediaTek where he played various roles, including chip design in optical storage servo/data control chip, and CAD. He successfully built up R&D computing farm, P&R, cell library and memory design, planned & deployed ERP, B2B, PLM and four generations of supply chain management IT systems. In 2003, he established software engineering collaboration processes for multi-site software development. Since 2004, he had been setting up and running corporate planning office to facilitate corporate strategy development, alignment and execution. He also planed and led Corporate Technology Committee at the same time for 2 years as the first executive director. Since 2005, he has been running manufacturing engineering and outsourcing business, and building wafer process technology development team. Recently, he is in charge of corporate low power and high performance CPU/GPU implementation.

Mr. Chang received his MSEE degree from Polytechnic University, Brooklyn, New York, USA in 1993 majoring in image processing and VLSI design. He is a member of IEEE and Tau Beta Pi.

Dr. Chi-Ming Chang is President of Ardentec Corporation in Taiwan, R.O.C.(2008 to present). He was the founding chairman of Ardentec Singapore (2006 – 2011) and founding representative director of Ardentec Korea (2010 – 2011).

Prior to co-founding Ardentec Corporation in 1999, he was with Vanguard International Semiconductor Corporation as a division director responsible for product manufacturing engineering and then for operations planning and control and was with ERSO/ITRI as a deputy division director for R&D wafer fab operations management. Dr. Chang received his Ph.D. and MSIE degrees in 1986 and 1983 respectively from Texas Tech University. Before joining the submicron process technology development program at ERSO/ITRI in Taiwan in 1990, he was an assistant professor at Louisiana Tech University.

Dr. Chang received Outstanding Award in Technology Programs by Ministry of Economic Affairs of R.O.C. in 1995, Distinguished Engineer Award by Texas Tech University in 2009, and the Industrial Engineering Medal by Chinese Institute of Industrial Engineers (Taiwan) in 2009 and Fellow honor in 2012. Dr. Chang also received Golden Merchant Award from the General Chamber of Commerce of R.O.C. in 2011.

Prior to that, Julian served as VP of Memory Technology Development with Grace Semiconductor Manufacturing Corp. in China from 2001 to 2007.

Previous roles have included Director, Product Engineering & Testing with Nanya Technology Corporation in Taiwan (1995 ? 2001); Account Manager, Sales and Service with Applied Materials, Taiwan (1994 ? 1995); Technology Development Program Manager with Macronix International, Taiwan (1990 ? 1994) and Device Engineer, Fab Integration Engineer, Fab Process Module Engineer with NCR Microelectronics, Honeywell Solid State division, Ford Microelectronics, USA (1982 ? 1990).

Julian earned a BS in Chemistry from National Taiwan University and a MS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Colorado.

Dr. Datong Chen

Dr. Datong Chen received his BS, MS and Ph.D. degrees from Tsinghua University in Beijing, and then served as post-doctoral researcher in University of Illinois and Stanford University in USA. He also worked in National Semiconductor as a senior staff engineer.
In 1995, Dr. Datong Chen co-founded Omnivision Technology in Silicon Valley. He led the development of the world's first single chip color CMOS image sensor, which started a revolution in solid state imaging industry. OmniVision was successfully listed in Nasdaq in 2000. In 2001, Dr. Datong Chen co-founded Spreadtrum Communications in China and Silicon Valley as CTO. He led the development of the global first TD-SCDMA (3G) DSP chip in 2004 for mobile handset, which won the first prize of 2006 China national science and technology achievement awards. Spreadtrum was successfully listed in NASDAQ in June, 2007.
Since 2005, Dr. Chen has been Venture Partner in Northern Light Venture Capital, and lead the investments of several high-tech start ups in China. In Jan., 2010, He co-founded the WestSummit Capital, which invest global high-tech start ups.
Up to the date, Dr. Chen holds 34 global patents. Dr. Datong Chen has won the China Special Award for Inventor and Entrepreneur and entitled as Chinese Inventor in 2006. He is serving as counsel member of China Invention Association and China Semiconductor Association, and used to be the chairman of Tsinghua Entrepreneur and Executive Club (TEEC).

Jay Chen

Jay Chen is president of Tokyo Electron Shanghai (TES) , Tokyo Electron Shanghai Logistics(TSL) and TEL Solar Shanghai (SOL). He‘s also been appointed as president of Tokyo Electron Kunshan (TKS) from April 1, 2014. Jay is currently responsible for all TEL semiconductor, FPD and Solar business in China.

Jay joined TEL group in 1997 with mission to start up TEL China operation. With his great effort, TEL 1st legal entity in China started in 1998. Riding on china market rapid growth in last 15 years, with TEL China team’s great effort, TEL business grew from zero in 1998 to today’s 58 billion Yen(580M USD equivalent) . Our China team also grow from 3 in 1998 to today’s 330. (end 2013).

Jay is also a founding member of Tokyo Electron Kunshan, the 1st FPD equipment manufacture fab in China. His team successfully met all major milestone for ground breaking, factory establishment, startup operation… 1st product shipment. By today, more than 70% of the system manufacture parts are sourcing locally.

During his 24 years in semiconductor industry, he has worked in various engineering and managerial positions at Intel, Hitachi Kokusai Electric and Watkins-Johnson. He is not only active in semiconductor industry, but also in community service. Jay is currently serving as chairman of SEMI China Advisory Board, rotating chair of SEMI equipment committee, the equipment and material committee chair of SICA, vice-chairman of China Optics and Optoelectronics Manufactures Association LCB(CODA), vice-chairman of China thin film solar association.

Jay graduated from Stanford University with M.S. degree in Material Sciences & Engineering.

Joe Chen is the Vice President of Sales for the Greater China region. He is responsible for sales in the Greater China region consisting of China and Taiwan. Prior to joining GLOBALFOUNDRIES, Chen held key senior management positions in Marvell where he was responsible for sales, support and customer service for the company’s business in China. Before Marvell, Chen worked for Amlogic in Shanghai as Vice President for Operations. He also acted as Vice President for Business Development, Sales & Marketing for the company’s Asia operations. Chen started his career with Teradyne in the United States as Product Engineer before moving on to work in applications engineering, sales, marketing and management in US, Taiwan and China regions within the company.

Chen graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from California State University, Northridge in 1993, and obtained a Master of Business Administration in International Business Marketing and Strategy from Marshall School of Business, University of Southern California in 2000.

Dr. Roawen Chen

Dr. Roawen Chen is currently Senior Vice President of Global Operations at Qualcomm. In this role, Roawen oversees the worldwide operations and supply chain, silicon and package technology, quality/reliability, and procurement functions for the Qualcomm semiconductor business. He has overall responsibility for driving the global integrated fabless strategy and execution.

Roawen is an experienced leader in all aspects of semiconductor operations and supply chain management with a solid background in leading large-scale fabless operations. In addition to his strong technical depth, he has proven experience in building close supplier and vendor relationships and executing to support customer demand and product development. Prior to Qualcomm, Roawen was Vice President of Manufacturing Operations at Marvell Semiconductor in Santa Clara, California. During his more than 12 years at Marvell, Roawen held a variety of leadership roles, including Vice President and General Manager of the Communications and Computing business unit and Vice President and General Manager of the Connectivity business unit. He has also served in management roles in Marvell’s Foundry Operations and Manufacturing Technology groups.

Prior to Marvell, Roawen held technical positions at TSMC-USA and Intel. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Physics from National Tsing-Hua University in Taiwan, a master’s degree in Materials Science from the University of California, San Diego and a PhD in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley.

Dr. Chen has more than 20 years of experience in the field of information and communication technology, during which he has been involved in research and development, technology and strategy management. He has published 3 books and more than 70 papers cited by SCI and EI in international academic conferences and journals. At present, he has applied for more than 10 national invention patents.

Dr. Chen has also won several national rewards, such as the National Prize for Progress in Science and Technology in 2001 and 2012 respectively, and the First Prize for Modernization of the National Innovation Enterprise Management in 2009, etc.

Charlie Cheng

Previously, he was co-founder and CEO of Lexra Inc., an embedded RISC CPU IP company. Charlie began his technology career at General Electric and IBM, and pioneered in the semiconductor IP business as VP of Marketing at Aspec Technology. He also served in various technical and management positions at Iomega, Zycad and Viewlogic. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and Mechanical Engineering, with an emphasis on computer architecture and algorithms, from Cornell University, Ithaca, NY. He also completed the Executive Management Training Program on Leadership at Carnegie Mellon University, in addition to various other executive training programs.

Mojy is CEO of Silicon Cloud International (SCI). SCI establishes private and secure cloud centers around the world for universities and research institutions with initial focus on semiconductor design infrastructure and eco-system.

Mojy has a blend of private and public company senior executive management experience, business acumen, customer relationships, and hands on technical experience in IC product design, software development, process technology, design infrastructure, and wafer manufacturing.

He joined GlobalFoundries in 2009 as senior vice president of Design Enablement. In that capacity he was responsible for all design, design services, and design infrastructure functions as well as tape out operations. He also served as the chairman of Socle, a design services and turnkey ASIC company with focused operations in APAC.

From 2006 to 2009, Mojy was vice president of Technology Development at Altera Corporation. He managed all development, infrastructure, and manufacturing aspects of silicon process technologies.

Dr. Chiu’s expertise spans technology research, business development, operations and corporate management. He began his career in the United States as a research scientist at AT&T Bell Laboratories in Murray Hill, New Jersey, rising to become the department head of its High Speed Electronics Research Department and Silicon Research Operations Department. He then joined Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Corporation (TSMC), where he served as Senior Director of Fab Operations. Subsequently, Dr. Chiu became Senior Vice President of Shanghai Operations for Semiconductor Manufacturing International Corporation (SMIC). He then served as Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Hua Hong International Management and President of Hua Hong Semiconductor International in Shanghai, China. He was then appointed President and COO of Silterra Malaysia, before joining Hua Hong NEC as President and CEO in February 2009. Dr. Chiu also served as the Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Shanghai Huali Microelectronics Corporation from 2010 to 2011. From 2005 to 2009, he was an Independent Director of Actions Semiconductor Co., Ltd. Dr. Chiu returned to SMIC in August 2011 as CEO and Executive Director. He is also Vice Council Chairman of China Semiconductor Industry Association(CSIA),a board member of Global Semiconductor Alliance( GSA ), Chairman of the Board of Semiconductor Manufacturing North China (BJ) Corporation as well as Chairman of the Board of Brite Semiconductor Corporation.


Dr. Chiu earned his bachelor’s degree in electrical and systems engineering at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in New York, and his doctorate in electrical engineering and computer science at the University of California, Berkeley. He has also earned an executive MBA degree from Columbia University in New York. Dr. Chiu holds 40 semiconductor technology patents with 60 additional patents still pending. Dr. Tetsuya Iizuka is Founder and CEO of THine Electronics, Inc. Dr. Iizuka founded THine Microsystems in 1991 and also THine Electronics in 1992, the latter being initially a joint venture with Samsung Electronics. After closing an MBO deal from Samsung Electronics in 1998, he continued to take the responsible role to establish a global fabless LSI maker with its own brand ASSP. THine Electronics went public at JASDAQ in August 2001.

Prior to founding THine, Dr. Iizuka took a leading role in Toshiba as General Manager of the LSI Development Department of Toshiba's Semiconductor Device Engineering Laboratory. He was a resident engineer at HP IC Lab from 1980 to 1981. He served as the Visiting Professor of University of Tokyo. He has been Chairman of the Japanese Semiconductor Ventures Association (JASVA) since its establishment in 2000.

Dr. Iizuka received the first prize of Entrepreneur of the Year (EOY) Japan in 2001, sponsored by Ernst & Young, a Medal with Blue Ribbon in 2006 and a Medal with Dark Blue Ribbon in 2010. He earned a Ph.D. of Electronics Engineering from University of Tokyo in 1975.

Toshio Maruyama currently serves as Advantest Corporation's Chairman of the Board and Representative Director, an elected position he has held since 2009. Prior to this post, from 2001 to 2009 Mr. Maruyama held sequential positions as president & COO and president & CEO of the global corporation.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Maruyama served the company as senior managing director and sales head of the Automatic Test Equipment Group, a division he helped to establish over four decades ago. His credits also include a 12 year period from 1982 to 1994 spent in the U.S., where he established the company's first off-shore R&D center and was instrumental in building Advantest's international presence.

An industry veteran of over 40 years, Toshio Maruyama earned a master's degree in Electrical Engineering from Yamagata University. Upon graduation in 1973, he joined Advantest (then Takeda Riken) and became integrally involved in the design and launch of the company's first semiconductor test system.

Throughout his career, Mr. Maruyama has held positions with many key industry organizations. Most notably, he now sits on the SEMI Board of Directors and is Chairman of the Semiconductor Equipment Association of Japan (SEAJ).

Mr. Maruyama currently resides in Tokyo, Japan.

Mr. McGregor, who is also a member of the Board of Directors, joined Broadcom in January 2005 after serving since September 2001 as President and CEO of the Philips Semiconductors division of the Netherlands-based Royal Philips Electronics, At Philips, Mr. McGregor oversaw one of the world's largest semiconductor suppliers, with 34,000 employees in over 50 countries and nearly US$6 billion in sales in 2004. In addition to his CEO role, he was also a member of the Group Management Committee of Royal Philips Electronics. He joined Philips Semiconductors in February 1998 as head of its Emerging Business unit, focusing on fast growing markets for smart cards, RFID, networking, digital media processing and computing, and leading the group to profitability and nearly US$1 billion in sales.

Before joining Philips, from 1990 to 1998 Mr. McGregor served in various senior management positions, most recently as Senior Vice President and General Manager, at Santa Cruz Operation Inc. (SCO), a provider of network computing solutions. From 1985 to 1990 he served in senior positions at Digital Equipment Corporation (now part of HP) where he led the UNIX workstation software group and was one of the architects of the X Window System. Prior to joining Digital Equipment Corporation, he worked at Microsoft, where he was the Director of the Interactive Systems Group and the architect and development team leader of the original version of Microsoft® Windows®. Prior to Microsoft, Mr. McGregor spent over six years in various positions at the Xerox Corporation's Palo Alto Research Center (PARC), where he was involved in designing software for the first personal computers employing graphical user interfaces. Mr. McGregor received a B.A. in Psychology and a M.S. in Computer Science and Computer Engineering from Stanford University.

Prior to joining SuVolta, Bruce was president and CEO of Tessera Technologies, which he took public through a highly successful initial public offering. Bruce led Tessera's turnaround and established its growth strategy. During his tenure, Tessera experienced compounded revenue and operating profit growth exceeding 50% annually which led to Tessera being cited by Business Week as the Second Hottest Growing Company in America in 2006.

Bruce also served as president and CEO of S-Vision, a liquid crystal-on-silicon based display technology company, senior vice president of Flextronics International, and president and CEO of nCHIP, a multichip module packaging company that was acquired by Flextronics.

In addition to serving on SuVolta's board of directors, Bruce is a director of several private technology companies and a member of the board of trustees of Carnegie Mellon University. Michael Noonen

Immediately prior to IBM Jesse served as senior executive at Digital Equipment Corporation in the PC division where he was a founding member of the company's personal computer division.

Jesse has lived and worked in Asia and China for the majority of the last thirty years. Jesse speaks fluent Mandarin Chinese and lives in Shanghai, China. Ed Pausa is a director emeritus of the Center for Technology and Innovation for PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP. Mr. Pausa has had more than 50 years of broad experience in the semiconductor industry with direct profit and loss responsibilities and has directed extensive multi-national organizations. This includes 25 years experience at the corporate officer level in all four segments of the industry: integrated device manufacturer (IDM), semiconductor equipment and materials (SEMI), semiconductor manufacturing services (SATS), and fabless semiconductor (FSA). During his career he has directed 33 plants and subsidiary companies in 18 foreign countries and 11 plants in six US states. He has negotiated and executed six multi-million dollar international joint ventures and contracts in Europe, Asia and Africa.

Mr. Pausa began consulting in 1990 after his retirement from National Semiconductor Corporation where he had served as Corporate Vice President of International Manufacturing and Services. Since then he has completed long-term assignments as Vice President Operations of Power Integrations Inc., Vice President of Alphatec Group and also Director of Coopers & Lybrand Consulting. As a consultant, Mr. Pausa has focused his practice on assisting high-tech companies in the development and implementation of business strategies and continuous improvement policies and practices. Since 2004 he has also been the principal author of PwC’s annual report “China Impact on the Semiconductor Industry”. Mr. Pausa earned a BS with honors in Engineering, a MS in Metallurgy and a graduate certificate in Business Management from the University of California at Berkeley. He holds the rank of Captain, United States Naval Reserve.

From July 2003 to June 2006, Mr. Pease was Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales of Broadcom Corporation, a global leader in semiconductors for wired and wireless communications. From March 2000 to July 2003, Mr. Pease was Vice President of Sales at Syntricity, Inc., a company providing software and services to better manage semiconductor production yields and improve design-to-production processes. From 1984 to 1996, Mr. Pease served in a number of sales positions at Advanced Micro Devices, or AMD, a global semiconductor manufacturer, where his last assignment was Group Director, Worldwide Headquarters Sales and Operations. Mr. Pease previously held Vice President of Sales positions at Integrated Systems Inc., an embedded software manufacturer (1996-1997), and Vantis Corporation, a programmable logic subsidiary of AMD (1997-1999). Mr. Pease holds a B.S. degree from the United States Naval Academy and an M.S. in computer science from the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, California.

Danny Perng has been with Mentor Graphics since October of 1988 and has had an impressive track record of success. He started as a software developer in R&D and later became a member of the Corporate Architect Council representing the IC Division. He returned to Taiwan in 1996 as the PacRim Technical Marketing Manager for IC design and IP products. In 1998, Danny took the role of Foundry Program Manager to establish Calibre’s Golden Sign-off status at TSMC, UMC, and Chartered Semiconductor. Two years later, Danny became the PacRim Marketing Director.

Due to Danny’s success in the tremendous growth of Mentor’s business and market share in China, where he set-up a direct channel in China, opening offices in Shanghai, Beijing, and ShenZhen, he became General Manager of Mentor Graphics China and was promoted to the PacRim Managing Director in 2009. In January 2012, Danny was promoted to Vice President, PacRim.

Danny has a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from the Tsinghua University in Taiwan, and MS degrees from the University of Nebraska in Chemical Engineering and Computer Science, as well as a BMA degree from the Marylhurst University in Portland, Oregon. Danny is based in Mentor’s PacRim headquarter in Shanghai, China.

Sunit Rikhi is Vice President of the Technology and Manufacturing Group and general manager of Intel Custom Foundry at Intel Corporation. His organization provides strategic access to Intel's technology and manufacturing assets with turnkey manufacturing services including design services, wafer manufacturing, packaging and test.

Rikhi joined Intel in 1984 as a senior CAD s/w engineer in design technology where he developed an internal layout verification and extraction system. Since then, Rikhi has held a variety of senior engineering management positions in Technology and Manufacturing Group including mask operations, manufacturing automation and Logic Technology Development. Rikhi led the development of 300mm automation in Intel's advanced fabs and later was responsible for logic technology planning and collateral circuits development. Rikhi was appointed vice president, Technology and Manufacturing Group in 2006.

Rikhi received his bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from the Birla Institute of Technology and Sciences at Pilani, India in 1979, and his master's degree in electrical engineering from the University of Washington in 1981.

Dr.Dongkai Shangguan, founding CEO, is focusing on developing and commercializing advanced microelectronics packaging technologies for the industry. Concurrently, he also serves as an Executive Advisor at the Institute of Microelectronics, Chinese Academy of Sciences.

Through his 20+ years with the industry, Dr. Shangguan worked at the Electronics Operations with Ford Motor Co. / Visteon Corporation in various technical and management functions,and at Flextronics as Corporate Vice President of Advanced Technology & Engineering Leadership.

Dr. Shangguan received his BS degree in Mechanical Engineering from Tsinghua University, China, Ph.D.degree in Materials from the University of Oxford, U.K., and MBA degree from the San Jose State University. He conducted post-doctoral teaching and research at the University of Cambridge and The University of Alabama, and is currently a Guest Professor at several universities. Dr. Shangguan has published two books and authored/co-authored 250 technical papers and articles. He has over 20 U.S. and foreign patents issued.

Dr. Shangguan is an IEEE Fellow, serves on the IEEE CPMT Society Board of Governors and is a Distinguished Lecturer for the IEEE CPMT Society. He also serves on the editorial/advisory board of several technical journals. He has received a number of recognitions for his contributions to the industry, including the “Outstanding Sustained Technical Contribution Award” from IEEE CPMT, “Leadership Award” from the Sustainable Electronics Manufacturing Working Group, “President’s Award” from IPC, “Total Excellence in Electronics Manufacturing Award” from the Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME), and the “Soldertec Lead-Free Soldering Award”. He also received the “Distinguished MBA Alumnus Award” from the College of Business, San Jose State University.

Dr. Shen previously had served as eMemory’s Vice President in charge of operation and technology development since March 2008. He supervised the company’s technology development migration from 0.7um to 90nm. Dr. Sherwani brings over 23 years of experience in technical engineering and general management to his position as President and CEO of Open-Silicon. Prior to co-founding Open-Silicon, Dr. Sherwani was the Founder and General Manager of Intel Microelectronics Services where he led efforts to promote the use of disciplined ASIC methodologies to improve design efficiency and time-to-market. He currently chairs the GSA (Global Semiconductor Association) Technical Steering Committee.

Dr. Sherwani co-architected the Intel microprocessor design methodology and environment that has been used in several leading microprocessors. Prior to joining Intel, he worked as a consultant for various telecommunications and computer companies, mainly focusing on ASIC design flow and cell library design to improve time-to-market. He also served as a Professor at Western Michigan University, where his research concentrated on VLSI Physical Design Automation, combinatorics, and graph algorithms.

Dr. Sherwani is the author of textbook on Physical Design, which is widely used as the main textbook at major universities around the world. In addition, he has authored or co-authored three books and over 100 articles on various aspects of Physical Design Automation and ASICs.

In the last 15 years, he has been a frequent speaker at DAC, ICCAD, the International Conference on VLSI and other major conferences around the world. Dr. Sherwani received his Ph.D. from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

Barney received his AB degree from Dartmouth College and his MBA from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business. Young previously served as CEO and president for four other Silicon Valley-based public companies including Quantum Corporation, Oak Technologies, Agilent Semiconductor (now Avago) and Inphi Corporation. In addition, he helped take three companies public while serving as either CEO or as a board member (at PLX Technologies, Synnex Technologies and Inphi). Also, he was a long time board member of ARM Holdings, PLC and Cymer, Inc. (later acquired by ASML).

Young began his career at Intel in 1983 serving as Intel Korea general manager. Later with Intel in Silicon Valley, he was responsible for starting the company’s strategic and highly successful PC chipset business.

He currently serves on the MIT Sloan School NA Board, is a senior advisor to private equity firm Silverlake Partners, is a member of the board of directors at Cadence, and serves on the ARM Asia Pacific Advisory Board.

Young earned his bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Pennsylvania and his master’s degree from the MIT Sloan School of Management.

Prior to this executive role, he worked for GlobalFoundries design service arm as Solution Architect, responsible for new SoC projects for the US customers; In TSMC semiconductor design infrastructure marketing program specialized in collaborating with industry players and the ecosystems, complex deal negotiations, contract closures, and executions through peer management.

In 2000’s, Stan was sales managing director of IC design solutions, and design automation (EDA) Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) channel management, specialized in joint sales with partners, and competitors of complimentary areas. Back in the 90’s, he joined three (3) startup companies in Silicon Valley. All of them successfully went IPO on Nasdaq and later merged to even bigger organizations at very high valuations.

Stan obtained his MS in Information Computer Science from Georgia Tech., and BA in Computer Science & Information Engineering from National Taiwan University.

Mr. Tuttle joined Silicon Labs in 1997 and helped design the company's first product, a silicon DAA, that subsequently achieved market share leadership in PC modems and allowed the company to go public in 2000. Mr. Waters joined Altera in January 2012 as senior vice president and general manager of the Military, Industrial and Computing Division. Prior to joining Altera, Mr. Waters was most recently with Texas Instruments / National Semiconductor as product line vice president, Precision Signal Path Division. He was with National for 18 years in positions including vice president of sales and marketing for Japan, and vice president of worldwide marketing, as well as a variety of marketing and engineering management roles in analog and microprocessors. In addition to his time at National, Mr. Waters held positions in management consulting as well as in research and development. He holds a BSEE from the University of Notre Dame, an MSEE from Santa Clara University, and an MBA from Northwestern University.

Dr. Wei currently holds professor positions at both the Institute of Microelectronics at Tsinghua University and Peking University. He became the invited Professor of the University of Electronics Science & Technology and South-East University in recent years. Currently he serves as the expert of VLSI Design Project, State “863” Program and is also the Vice President of VLSI Design, CSIA and the President of Communication Specific IC Committee, CIC. Dr. Wei is the co-chair of Tsinghua Entrepreneur and Executive Club (TEEC).

Dr. Wei became an assistant professor at the Laboratory of Microelectronics, Faculté Polytechnique de Mons, Belgium, shortly after he received his Doctor degree in Applied Science in 1991 from there. Between 1989 to1991, he also worked as a research fellow in ARAMIS, Belgium. Previously, he worked as a research engineer in the R&D Center of GTE-ATEA in Belgium from 1985 to 1987.

Dr. Wei has published over 70 papers in the areas of VLSI design methodology, communication specific IC development and telecommunications system development. Some of the many awards Dr. Wei has won in recent years include the National 2nd Prize for Advanced Technology in 2002; Beijing 1st Prize for Advanced Technology in 2001; the Award for Key Technology & Invention, Ministry of Information Industry in 2003; the Award for Outstanding Chinese Patented Invention, State Intellectual Property Office of China & World Intellectual Property Organization in 2004; the Outstanding Founder in ZhongGuanCun Science Park in 2001 and the Outstanding Leading Person in Semiconductor Industry, CSIA in 2003, etc.

Dr. Woo first joined Samsung Electronics in 2004 as Executive Vice President and head of Mobile Solution Development at its System LSI Business, and in 2007 was appointed as head of SOC Research and Development. Dr. Woo became General Manager of the System LSI Business in May 2008 and was promoted to President in December 2010.

Since joining Samsung Electronics, Dr. Woo gained recognition for overseeing product development of application processors for Smartphone and Tablet PC in achieving number one market share globally, and for guiding the successful acquisition of an Israeli image sensor company in 2007.

Prior to joining Samsung Electronics, Dr. Woo served from 1999 to 2003 in several senior management positions at Texas Instruments(TI) related to wireless technologies. He was also a Distinguished Member of Technical Staff (DMTS) at TI. From 1996 to 1999 Dr. Woo served as President of Sansearch, a CDMA chipset solution company in San Diego, California. From 1983-1996 he served as a research scientist at the Communication Research Division of Bell Laboratories, Murray Hill, New Jersey.

He received B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Seoul National University, M.S. in Electrical Engineering from KAIST (Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology), and Ph.D in Computer Science from the University of Maryland, College Park, USA.

Prior to taking over as CEO of XMC in 2012, he was COO at SMIC. His previous roles include CTO and Senior Vice President of Operations at Chartered Semiconductor (now GlobalFoundries) and R&D and Manufacturing Director at Intel. Dr. Yang is renowned for his ability to develop and deliver state of the art technologies. When he served in Intel, he received multiple Intel Achievement Awards and the STAR Award. Dr. Yang has extensive experience in semiconductor R&D, manufacturing and the domestic semiconductor supply chain integration.
