GSA MEMS WG Meeting | March 26, 2014

As MEMS devices proliferate, we want to enable faster, more consistent development cycles and time to market. A key step will be a standardized PDK offering, similar to the AMS PDK Quality Checklist. This meeting will be a deep dive into working group efforts in this area.

Defining MEMS PDK Needs
Mary Ann Maher, CEO, SoftMEMS

Mary Ann chairs the PDK development effort. The team has reviewed the GSA AMS PDK Quality Checklist as a starting point for defining MEMS PDK needs. MEMS designers require a very different set of parameters from the foundry than those needs by a CMOS designer; this work will address these needs and bring commonality where possible.

This meeting will focus on:
Define MEMS PDK Format
Define Information Exchange Format
Review of PDK standardization efforts in other areas
Providing guidance to Foundry, Designers
Input needed from other disciplines to complete PDK effort

3:15 p.m. Project Discussion: MEMS Manufacturing; ROI / Business Cases; Test & Packaging
4:15 p.m. Logistics and Wrap-Up
