Daniel A. (Dan) Artusi is vice president in the Client Computing Group and general manager of the Connected Home division at Intel Corporation. Based in Munich, Germany, he is responsible for all aspects of the division’s business, including engineering, marketing, business operations and revenue.

A 30-year veteran of the semiconductor and communications industries, Artusi joined Intel in 2015 with the acquisition of Lantiq Deutschland GmbH, where he had been chief executive officer since 2012. He also spent six years as an operating executive at Golden Gate Capital, focusing on semiconductor and communications investment opportunities. Earlier in his career, Artusi served as president and CEO of Conextant Systems Inc.; as chairman and CEO of Coldwatt Inc.; and as CEO, president and chief operating officer at Silicon Laboratories Inc. He was also a member of the board of directors at all four technology companies. Artusi started his career in 1977 at Motorola Inc. and subsequently spent 24 years with the company, culminating in his role as corporate vice president and general manager of the Networking and Computing Systems Group.

I graduated in 1984 with a BSc in Electrical and Electronic Engineering and completed a Master of Business Administration in 1994. I am also a Doctor of the University of Glasgow having been awarded an Honorary Doctorate in 2010.

I have a determination to show that increasing age does not mean decreasing physical fitness and took-up triathlon when turning 50 in 2012. In 2014 I became an Ironman tri-athlete completing a 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike and a 26 mile run in 13h 24m. I am currently training for Ironman Frankfurt in July targeting a finish in less than 12 hours.

Since co-founding Synopsys in 1986, Dr. Aart de Geus has led the growth of Synopsys from start-up synthesis enterprise to a diverse company that is a technology and market leader offering a complete integrated circuit (IC) design solution from concept to silicon.

Aart has long been considered one of the world's leading experts on logic simulation and logic synthesis. Among the numerous industry honors Dr. de Geus has received was being named Fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) in 1999. He was honored for pioneering the commercial logic synthesis market with the IEEE Circuits and Systems Society Industrial Pioneer Award in 2001 and in 2007 was awarded the IEEE Robert N. Noyce Medal for his "contributions to, and leadership in, the technology and business development of Electronic Design Automation."

Electronic Business magazine named Dr. de Geus CEO of the Year in 2002, and in 2005 selected him as one of "The 10 Most Influential Executives." In 2008, he was presented with the Phil Kaufman Award for distinguished contributions to electronic design automation (EDA), and in 2009 he was awarded the GSA Morris Chang Exemplary Leadership Award. Dr. de Geus is active in the business community as a member of TechNet, and serves on the Boards of the Silicon Valley Leadership Group, Applied Materials, the Global Semiconductor Alliance (GSA), and the Electronic Design Automation Consortium (EDAC).

His leadership was recognized in 2007 when the Silicon Valley Leadership Group (SVLG) awarded him with their “Spirit of the Valley" Lifetime Achievement Award, and then again most recently with the 2011 David Packard Award, Joint Venture Silicon Valley’s highest honor for civic and community service.

Dr. de Geus is also heavily involved in education for the next generation, having created in 1999 the Synopsys Outreach Foundation, which promotes project-based science and math learning throughout Silicon Valley.

David L. Dutton is a 30 year veteran of the semiconductor industry. Mr. Dutton currently serves as the CEO of Silvaco, a provider of EDA and TCAD design tools for the semiconductor industry. Mr. Dutton served as President, CEO and director of Mattson Technology, NASDAQ: MTSN, from 2002 to February of 2013. During his CEO tenure Mr. Dutton lead the company from a large loss situation to multiple years of profitability and then led the company through the great recession period while successfully expanding the company into a $4B adjacent market quadrupling the total available market of the company. Mr. Dutton joined Mattson Technology in 1994 as a product group Vice President and general manager until 1997 and then served as chief operating officer. Prior to joining Mattson, Mr. Dutton served in etch, clean and yield engineering management positions at Intel from 1984 to 1993. After Intel, Dutton led the Thin Films area for Maxim Integrated Products to implement Multi-layer metallization. In his career Mr. Dutton has led teams innovating technology and manufacturing solutions, turned around company and product situations, and built global high performance customer focused organizations.

In 2013, Mr. Dutton founded and is managing principal of SemiEnergy, a business management consulting company that focuses on accelerating profits for emerging technology companies. Through SemiEnergy, Mr. Dutton has served as an advisory board director of startup Sunpreme Solar Inc since March of 2013 where he led global sales channel development into the EU, Japan, Middle East growing from startup to > $30M annually, and building investment partnerships. Mr. Dutton serves as advisory board director for Glo, a designer and manufacturer of nanowire LED's where he helped established stable fab operations. Dave is also a partner in CEO to CEO,

Mr. Dutton holds a B.S. Geology from San Jose State University and an Executive MBA from the Stanford/AEA Executive Institute.

Mr. Dutton has been active with the Silicon Valley Leadership Group, Bay Area Council, CEO Alliance and was executive sponsor for the California high speed rail project. He is an advisory board member of the Silicon Valley Bicycle Coalition.

Dave and his wife Donna have three children, Shannon, Joey and Brianna, and live in the San Francisco Bay Area. They enjoy bicycling, hiking, boating and classic automobile collecting.

Remi joined Movidius as its CEO in 2013, guiding the company’s business strategy and focus on driving visual sensing in the next wave of connected devices. Since joining Movidius, Remi has established the company’s presence in Silicon Valley, continued to scale its R&D team, collaborated with Google for its Project Tango device and overseen the launch of Movidius’ second generation Myriad 2 platform.

Before joining Movidius, Remi spent 15 years at Texas Instruments, where he served as vice president and worldwide general manager of the Open Multimedia Applications Platform (OMAP) Business Unit. In this role, he led development of strategic relationships with Amazon, Google and Microsoft, and dramatically increased revenue during his tenure overseeing operations, R&D and global sales and marketing for the OMAP Business Unit. Prior to leading OMAP, Remi held a number of roles of increasing responsibility across business units within Texas Instruments.

Remi graduated from Harvard Business School’s GMP program. He also holds a master’s degree of science in semiconductor physics engineering from the Grenoble (France) Institute of Technology (Grenoble INP) and graduated in economics and finance from the Grenoble (France) Institute of Political Studies (IEP Grenoble). Since January 2013, Dr. Udo Gómez has been Chief Technical Officer of Bosch Sensortec GmbH - a fully-owned subsidiary of Robert Bosch GmbH. He is responsible for research and development of microelectro- mechanical sensors (MEMS) for consumer electronics, smartphones, security systems, industrial technology and logistics.

Dr. Gómez was born in Aalen, Germany. He studied physics at the University of Stuttgart, Germany. After graduation in 1994, he completed a doctorate
in physics in 1997. From 1998 to 1999, he worked as post doctoral fellow at California Institute of Technology (Pasadena, California, USA).

Dr. Gómez began his career at Robert Bosch GmbH in 1999 at Corporate Sector Research and Advanced Engineering as research engineer in the area of
microsystems technology.

In 2003, he joined the Automotive Electronics
Division of Robert Bosch GmbH, where he was given the overall responsibility for the development of a new MEMS-based inertial sensor cluster for ESP applications.

Since 2006, Dr. Gómez worked in various management positions at Automotive Electronics, where he was responsible for Advanced Engineering of MEMS Sensors and held the position as Chief Expert for MEMS sensor technology.

Before joining Bosch Sensortec GmbH in January 2013, he was part of the office of the Board of Management (2010 - 2012) and was appointed Office Director for the Deputy Chairman of the Board of Management at Robert Bosch GmbH.

Since 2014, Dr. Gómez has been Deputy Chairman of the Board of VDE/VDI-Society Microelectronics, Microsystems and Precision Engineering (GMM).

Jack Harding is responsible for eSilicon's overall leadership, strategy and management.

Mr. Harding brings more than 25 years of management experience in the semiconductor industry, spanning the electronic design automation (EDA) and IC sectors. Prior to co-founding eSilicon in 2000, Mr. Harding was the president and CEO of Cadence Design Systems.

Mr. Harding entered Cadence upon the acquisition of Cooper & Chyan Technology (CCT), where he served as the president and CEO, and was responsible for leading the company to an IPO. Prior to CCT Mr. Harding served as the executive vice president of Zycad Corporation. Mr. Harding began his career with distinction at IBM.

Mr. Harding maintains a balanced career, providing his services to industry, academia and government. He has held various directorships in both public and private organizations and currently serves on the boards of directors of Advanced Micro Devices (AMD), RF Micro Devices and the advisory board of Atrenta, Inc. Mr. Harding has also held leadership roles at Drew University and Indiana University (IU) where he was vice chairman of the board of trustees and a member of IU's premier School of Public and Environmental Affairs (SPEA) advisory board, respectively.

In the public policy arena, Mr. Harding has served as a member of the prestigious Steering Committee at the U.S. Council on Competiveness and was a former National Academies' Committee member for Software, Growth and the Future of the U.S. Economy. In 2010, Mr. Harding was elected as the new value chain producer director to the board of directors of the Global Semiconductor Alliance (GSA). Prior to this, Mr. Harding served a three-year term on the GSA board as a semiconductor director. He also serves on the GSA Finance Committee. He is a frequent international speaker on the topics of innovation, entrepreneurship and semiconductor trends and policies.

Mr. Harding holds a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry and Economics from Drew University and attended the Stern School of Business at New York University.

At Rockwell International (an organization with approximately 100K employees), he was VP of Strategic Planning, Acquisitions, International Marketing, and Engineering of the Commercial Electronics Group (14K employees). As VP of Engineering at Rockwell, Dr. Jones had over 1.5K engineers reporting to him, covering communications, avionics, and semiconductors. Dr. Jones was also the President and COO of a publicly traded semiconductor company. He steered the company through a successful public offering and a key acquisition.

Dr. Jones has written a book called Chinamerica (McGraw-Hill 2010), which focuses on the relationship between China and America and the economic and socio-political impact that this relationship will have on future businesses.

Taher Madraswala has more than 25 years of semiconductor engineering and business management experience. Taher joined Open-Silicon at its inception to help realize a vision of making ASICs affordable. Before taking over as Open-Silicon President in 2014 and as President and CEO in 2015, Taher served as COO and Vice President of Engineering. He has contributed his technical and business experience to building Open-Silicon’s full turnkey ASIC offering with flexible engagement models.
Prior to joining Open-Silicon in 2003, Taher spent twelve years at Intel corporation designing VLIW video processors for the DVI platform and microprocessors where he contributed to logic, circuit, layout, and post-silicon debug of 486, Pentium, Pentium-MMX, Pentium-3, and Itanium processors. In addition, as an engineering manager at Intel he oversaw ASIC development in the DSL Modem and Optical Networking Group. Over his career Taher has demonstrated his commitment to quality engineering across more than 300 tapeouts.
Taher has a master’s degree in Computer Engineering from University of Louisiana, Lafayette and a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Aligarh University.

Established in April 1989, Future Horizons provides business support services for use in opportunity analysis, business planning and new market development in the semiconductor and related industries. Mr. Penn has over 45 years experience in the electronics industry and for most of that time has worked extensively throughout Europe as well as in the United States, the former USSR, Japan and Korea. Future Horizons was also a member of the 1994 European Commission sponsored Cornu Panel of senior industry executives responsible for publishing the “Report of the European Microelectronics Panel” used to help formulate the strategy for EC microelectronics support in Europe.

Prior to establishing Future Horizons, Mr. Penn was Vice President of Dataquest and Director of Dataquest's European Operations, responsible for establishing all Dataquest's European-based research operations. Previously he was Manager of Component Engineering for ITT Europe (now Alcatel) and prior to that held various operations and marketing management positions with the worldwide ITT Semiconductor group.

Reinhard Ploss joined Siemens/Infineon in 1986 as a process engineer for ion implantation in wafer manufacturing at Munich Balanstrasse, focusing on process development, yield and quality improvement. He then very quickly assumed responsibility for ion implantation process technology and later also for epitaxy.

In 1992, he moved to Villach, where he was initially responsible for the transfer of the epitaxy process and later for the coordination of the product transfer. In 1996 he went back to Munich and took charge of the Power Semiconductor Business Unit with a focus on development and manufacturing. Additionally, he was appointed as President of eupec GmbH Co. KG in 1999.

In 2000, he became head of the Automotive & Industrial Business Group, which, at the time, consisted of power semiconductors, electric drives, automotive applications and the Microcontroller Business Unit. In 2005, Reinhard Ploss assumed responsibility for manufacturing, development and operational management in the Automotive, Industrial and Multimarket Business Group.

In June 2007, Reinhard Ploss was appointed to the Management Board of Infineon, with responsibilities for manufacturing activities. In addition, he became Labor Director and Head of Research & Development. He remains responsible for these three areas to the present day.

Since October 1, 2012, Dr. Reinhard Ploss is Chief Executive Officer of Infineon Technologies AG.

Walden C. Rhines is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Mentor Graphics, a leader in worldwide electronic design automation with revenue of $1.1 billion in 2012. During his tenure at Mentor Graphics, revenue has more than tripled and Mentor has grown the industry’s number one market share solutions in four of the ten largest product segments of the EDA industry.

Prior to joining Mentor Graphics, Rhines was Executive Vice President of Texas Instruments’ Semiconductor Group, sharing responsibility for TI’s Components Sector, and having direct responsibility for the entire semiconductor business with more than $5 billion of revenue and over 30,000 people.

During his 21 years at TI, Rhines managed TI’s thrust into digital signal processing and supervised that business from inception with the TMS 320 family of DSP’s through growth to become the cornerstone of TI’s semiconductor technology. He also supervised the development of the first TI speech synthesis devices (used in “Speak & Spell”) and is co-inventor of the GaN blue-violet light emitting diode (now important for DVD players and low energy lighting). He was President of TI’s Data Systems Group and held numerous other semiconductor executive management positions.

Rhines has served five terms as Chairman of the Electronic Design Automation Consortium and is currently serving as co-vice-chairman. He is also a board member of the Semiconductor Research Corporation and First Growth Family & Children Charities. He has previously served as chairman of the Semiconductor Technical Advisory Committee of the Department of Commerce, as an executive committee member of the board of directors of the Corporation for Open Systems and as a board member of the Computer and Business Equipment Manufacturers' Association (CBEMA), SEMI-Sematech/SISA, Electronic Design Automation Consortium (EDAC), University of Michigan National Advisory Council, Lewis and Clark College and SEMATECH.

Dr. Rhines holds a Bachelor of Science degree in metallurgical engineering from the University of Michigan, a Master of Science and Ph.D. in materials science and engineering from Stanford University, a master of business administration from Southern Methodist University and an Honorary Doctor of Technology degree from Nottingham Trent University.

Scott’s prior roles include Director and Principal Analyst for iSuppli, a leading market research and consulting firm for the electronics industry, and product marketing and sales positions at Epson Toyocom, a top crystal and oscillator supplier, and Tektronix, a leading test and measurement equipment supplier.

Markus Tremmel joined BOSCH in 2014 as Chief Expert Technical Product Management ADAS for video front camera solutions. He is driving the SoC architecture and supplier strategy for the next generation automotive front cameras systems, enabling automatic emergency braking and other innovative driver assistance applications.

Before that he was director for Strategic Programs at Texas Instruments OMAP Business Unit driving new market-, new technology- and innovation strategies as well as strategic investment programs. Mr. Tremmel held the positions of OMAP Consumer PMP&Gaming Business Line Manager, OMAP Ecosystem manager and Alliance Manager in Europe. He has extensive experience in wireless markets, with previous positions at TI as US Marketing Manager for key customer accounts and European Field Application Manager for Cellular System solutions. Since joining TI in 1994, Mr. Tremmel worked in several technical and commercials areas, including DSP solutions for telecommunications and Digital Telephony Answering Devices. Before joining TI he spent several years in the R&D for avionic radar systems at Deutsche Aerospace focusing on Multi-DSP signal processing systems. Mr. Tremmel received a master’s degree in Electrical Engineering and Electronics from the Technical University of Karlsruhe, Germany.

Vincent van der Leest is Director Business Development at Intrinsic-ID. In the past he has been a project leader leading amongst others the FP7 projects UNIQUE and PUFFIN. During his career he has worked for major Dutch companies ASML, Philips and ProRail. Since he joined Intrinsic-ID in 2009, he has been project leader of the UNIQUE project which has successfully taped out a 65nm ASIC containing 6 different types of PUFs. His research is oriented toward PUFs, coding theory and hardware security implementations. He published a number of papers in these areas, among which at (hardware and security) conferences like CHES, DATE and HOST. He is regularly invited to teach lectures on Physically Unclonable Functions. Vincent holds a masters degree in Electrical Engineering from Eindhoven University of Technology.

His business acumen and accomplishments include co-founding a successful OSAT in Shanghai China. It was the first OSAT to build BGAs, offered Advanced Packaging solutions and full turnkey services.

Chinese by birth and growing up in Korea and in the US, he is fluent in three languages and has a deep understanding of those cultures.

He has a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and with a minor in Materials Engineering.
