Global Semiconductor Alliance Appoints Dr. Ann B. Kelleher to Board of Directors

Ann Kelleher, Intel Corporate Vice President

Dr. Ann B. Kelleher Joins Ranks of GSA Leadership

Santa Clara, California (November 28, 2018) – The Global Semiconductor Alliance (GSA), whose vision it is to establish an efficient, profitable and sustainable global semiconductor industry, announced the appointment of Intel executive Dr. Ann B. Kelleher, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Manufacturing and Operations, to its Board of Directors. Dr. Kelleher’s participation in the leadership of GSA marks a significant milestone in GSA’s history, with Intel participating for the first time on the Board to help drive its future vision encompassing an expanded semiconductor ecosystem.

“I am very pleased to have been appointed to GSA’s Board of Directors,” said Dr. Kelleher. “This is a great opportunity to assist in achieving GSA’s goals of identifying growing areas of the semiconductor world and developing ways to add more value within what is already an industry-leading organization.”

“The GSA’s Board of Directors is a literal ‘who’s who’ collection of industry leaders, and having an Intel executive with Ann’s stature elevates our leadership even further. Her extensive knowledge of manufacturing technology and trends and supply chain management will ensure we are focusing on the right issues. The global impact and influence of Intel across every technology segment can’t be overstated, and having their input can only help GSA and its members,” said Jodi Shelton, President and Co-founder of GSA. “We also welcome role models like Ann, demonstrating to future women leaders that there are executive management opportunities for them in a traditionally male-dominated industry.”

Kelleher joined Intel in 1996 as a process engineer and rose through senior management roles and today serves as Senior Vice President and General Manager of Manufacturing and Operations at Intel Corporation. Dr. Kelleher is responsible for global manufacturing, corporate quality assurance, corporate services and strategic planning for the company’s worldwide manufacturing operations. Before assuming her current position, Dr. Kelleher was general manager of the Technology and Manufacturing Group. She previously served as general manager of the Fab/Sort Manufacturing organization, where she was responsible for all aspects of Intel’s high-volume silicon manufacturing. Earlier in her career, she managed various Intel fabs in New Mexico, Arizona, as well as Ireland.

She holds a bachelor’s degree, master’s degree and Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, all from University College Cork in Ireland.
