Dr. Youm Huh
Silicon Mitus, Inc.
Dr. Huh is Founder, CEO and Chairman of the Board of Silicon Mitus, Inc. Also, he is presently serving as Vice Chairman of KSIA (Korea Semiconductor Industry Association).
Prior to Silicon Mitus, he was the founding CEO of MagnaChip Semiconductor, a spin-off from Hynix which he led the separation process with private equity firms. Prior to MangnaChip, Dr. Huh was Executive VP and General Manager of System IC Business of Hynix Semiconductor. During his tenure from 1999 to 2004, Dr. Huh brought up the revenue of the System IC business from $210 million to $1 billion. Prior to Hynix, Dr. Huh served as Senior Vice President and General Manager of Hyundai Multimedia Division for 2 years. In 2005, he was decorated with Silver Tower Medal from Korea Government in recognition of his contribution to the industry.
Before relocation to Korea from Silicon Valley in 1997, his past professional positions include Senior VP and CTO of Hyundai Electronics America in San Jose for 3 years, Executive Director of Computer Systems Business at Samsung Electronics for 5 years, and Research Associate at Stanford Center for Integrated Systems for 3 years.
Dr. Huh received Ph.D. from Stanford University, M.S. from KAIST (Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology), and B.S. from Seoul National University, all in Electrical Engineering.
