The GSA TECH Summit brings together industry leaders and experts to explore the emerging technologies that are shaping the future of the semiconductor industry. Speakers will share their insights and thought leadership on the latest growth drivers, leading-edge technologies, and evolving market trends, while also addressing the challenges surrounding the industry.
The TECH Summit serves as a platform for networking, collaboration, and innovation. It provides an opportunity to engage with industry peers, exchange ideas, and participate in shaping the future of the semiconductor industry.
As complexity grows across the semiconductor industry, innovation must be agile and adaptive. Margaret Han, Executive Vice President of Samsung’s US Foundry business, will share how collaboration with customers is driving resilient solutions – from early design engagement to advanced manufacturing. When innovation is grounded in real-world need, the industry moves forward with greater speed and thrives together.
This presentation explores the transformative dynamics of the semiconductor industry, focusing on its rapid growth, evolving business models, shifting industry structure, and global value chain. It examines key drivers shaping the sector’s future, including geopolitical shifts, AI advancements, and changing demand patterns. Offering a strategic perspective, the discussion highlights how industry leaders can navigate challenges, seize opportunities, and drive sustainable growth as the sector advances toward a projected $1–1.3 trillion by 2030.
Technological breakthroughs, economic pressures, and escalating geopolitical tensions are reshaping the global semiconductor landscape and challenging established supply chains and business models. Drawing on proprietary insights from interviews with over 3,000 C-suite executives, this session reveals the strategic patterns that distinguish companies successfully navigating this disruption. Attendees will gain practical guidance on how forward-thinking leaders are transforming their operating models, along with forecasts for key segments of the semiconductor industry amid intensifying global competition. The session will also explore actionable responses to uncertainty fueled by tariffs, export controls, and shifting global trade dynamics.
There is an exponential growth in demand for workload specific compute in Artificial Intelligence (both training and inference), network and storage acceleration, 5G/6G edge servers, media acceleration, high performance compute (ex. Vector processing), graphics, and gaming. The industry is facing many architectural challenges to improve cost, performance, power, security, etc. to meet this demand. The solution will require a broad alignment around standardized open architectures from the ISA to the SoC level, alignment of the IP supplier ecosystem, cooperation in standards, new EDA tools, and support from foundries and packaging suppliers.
This talk will highlight some of the recent progress in the industry, and a call to collaborate on enabling and supporting these new architectures.
The semiconductor industry is stacked with groundbreaking innovation that is helping to weave intelligence into every dimension of life, through generative, agentic, and physical AI models, spanning all the way from the cloud to the edge. Heterogeneous Integration through advanced packaging is playing a pivotal role in pushing physical, electrical, and thermal limits to achieve better energy efficiency and greater compute power. During this keynote, the stage will be set by exploring the AI landscape, highlighting challenges that require our collective attention, particularly as we move from electrons to photons. He will then expand on how advanced packaging creativity is propelling AI forward by integrating higher-performance chips within smaller form factors, resulting in transformative latency improvements and bandwidth enhancements.
India stands at a pivotal juncture in the global semiconductor landscape, transitioning from a prominent design and R&D hub to an aspiring manufacturing powerhouse. This presentation will delve into the dynamic evolution of India’s semiconductor segment, exploring the confluence of factors driving its rapid growth and increasing strategic importance. We will provide an overview of the current market size, key demand drivers across sectors like consumer electronics, automotive, and telecommunications, and India’s existing presence in the global value chain, particularly its significant strength in chip design and burgeoning capabilities in ATMP (Assembly, Testing, Marking, and Packaging). A core focus will be on the impactful government policies and initiatives, such as the India Semiconductor Mission and associated incentive schemes, which are actively fostering ecosystem development and attracting global investments. While highlighting India’s inherent strengths, including its vast talent pool and growing domestic market, the talk will also address the critical challenges that need to be overcome, such as high capital costs, supply chain dependencies, and the need for specialized talent development. The presentation will conclude with an outlook on India’s future potential, positioning it as a crucial player in building a resilient global semiconductor supply chain and powering the next wave of digital innovation. Attendees will gain insights into the opportunities for investment and collaboration in this rapidly expanding sector.

The continuous advancement of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) capabilities doesn’t just benefit good guys; it is likely to be leveraged by sophisticated cyber criminals for malicious purposes. Threat actors can leverage their ability to target social engineering with precision, impersonate with deepfakes and abundant personal information revealed from social media, coordinate autonomous cyberattacks through botnets, and create malware, ransomware, and APTs (Advanced Persistent Threats) that are hard to detect with legacy information security technology. Additionally, internal threats arise when employees may be involuntarily disclosing design source codes, trade secrets, and customer confidential information through the use of LLMs (Large Language Models) like ChatGPT or DeepSeek.
Fortunately, there may be effective mitigations. This presentation aims to address cybersecurity threats instigated or derived from the misuse of AI/ML capabilities and suggests mitigations through a well thought out System Security Plan (SSP) with adequate security controls.

Future-Proof System Designs
Security in Datacenters for AI Applications
As AI evolves from narrow, task-specific models to complex, multi-modal systems capable of dynamic reasoning and decision-making, inference workloads are undergoing a transformative shift. The advent of context-aware, adaptive AI and the rise of Agentic AI—autonomous systems that perceive, plan, and act—are pushing the boundaries of compute capabilities. Traditional inference pipelines are increasingly strained by the demands for contextual, adaptive, and memory-aware reasoning systems. This new generation of AI workloads necessitates a fundamental rethink of how inference is designed and deployed across hardware and system architectures.
The focus of AI, from both technical and commercial perspectives, is rapidly shifting from training underlying models to applications of said models through inference. Most recently, AMD’s Lisa Su expects inference to “grow more than 80% per year for the next few years – to become the largest driver of AI compute.” As this growth increases workloads from cloud to edge, the considerations for technologists and business leaders as they develop optimized solutions for defined use-cases become more complex.
The talk will highlight the latest trends in Agentic AI, business transformation opportunities, and use cases/examples of how companies are unlocking value through the application of Agentic Solutions. We’ll discuss priority business workflows being considered for transformation and key components of Agentic Solutions’ architecture.
The launch of DeepSeek R1 revolutionized AI models. Its key innovations led to a 95% cost reduction, enhancing AI’s cost-effectiveness and ROI for businesses while simultaneously reducing GPU demand. I similarly expect the release of DeepSeek R2 based on preliminary research papers will reshape the future of AI.
