The theme: Next Generation Automotive E/E Architecture: Zonal Computing.
In previous GSA-McKinsey collaboration projects, we investigated how domain controllers constitute the first path towards an increasing centralization of the compute resources.
In this current project and the coming-up workshop, we will analyze how the next step in this centralization will pan out in more detail: how exactly the industry will move to a zonal architecture with a physical and cross-domain grouping of functionality, which will also supports a further integration of previously separated ECUs.
