We are honored to announce the appointment of Lip-Bu Tan, CEO of Intel Corporation, to the GSA Board of Directors.

As a distinguished leader, longtime supporter of GSA and former Board member, Lip-Bu brings a wealth of experience, strategic insight, and a deep commitment to advancing the global semiconductor ecosystem and beyond.

He is one of the most respected and visionary leaders in our industry, with a proven track record of driving innovation, forging global partnerships, and elevating the semiconductor ecosystem. His return to the Board comes at a pivotal time, and his strategic leadership will be instrumental as we navigate the next phase of industry transformation.”

Lip-Bu Tan is the chief executive officer of Intel Corporation and a member of its board of directors, appointed in March 2025. Tan has over two decades of semiconductor and software experience, and deep relationships across the technology ecosystem.

Previously, Tan served as CEO and board member of Cadence Design Systems. He is also the founding managing partner of Walden Catalyst Ventures and chairman of Walden International. He has served on the boards of public companies including Credo Technology Group and Schneider Electric.

Tan has received several industry honors, including the 2022 Robert N. Noyce Award, the Semiconductor Industry Association’s highest honor, and was named one of Forbes’ Top 50 Venture Capitalists.

He holds a B.S. in physics from Nanyang Technological University, an M.S. in nuclear engineering from MIT, and an MBA from the University of San Francisco.
