Read the interview below:
Q. What has been the highlight of your career to date?
A. Over the course of my 30-year career in the global semiconductor industry, I have held technical, business development and corporate leadership roles at leading companies such as AMD, Broadcom and Rambus. What stands out most, though, are the experiences of co-founding innovative start-ups like SCI Semiconductor, DataTrails, and Secure Thingz.
Q. Who was (or is) your mentor? And, what is the best piece of advice you received?
A. Growing up in a family of engineers, pursuing engineering after high school felt like a natural choice. My family members have been my greatest mentors, encouraging me to earn a master’s degree in Electrical Engineering in the US and supporting me throughout my professional journey.
Q. What is the biggest challenge you have faced in your career, and how did you overcome it?
A.Working with start-ups often means navigating the challenge of aligning on core priorities and shaping the product roadmap to target the most promising, high-growth sectors. Every venture I have been part of has come with its own set of challenges, which is exactly what draws me to working with emerging technologies in the semiconductor industry.
Q. What advice would you give to your younger self?
A. I would tell my younger self to seek out technologies and companies that truly excite you and commit to giving your best effort. Don’t shy away from change or challenges – embrace them and enjoy the journey.
Q. What hobbies do you participate in outside of work, or what do you do with your free time?
A. I enjoy quality time with my family, exploring nature through hiking, and discovering new cultures and places around the world through travel.
