The 2023 GSA Awards Ceremony was held on Thursday, December 7, 2023.  Dr. Mark Liu, Chairman of TSMC presented Dr. Rick Tsai, CEO and Vice Chairman of MediaTek with the Dr. Morris Chang Exemplary Leadership Award.  The 2023 Rising Women of Influence recipient was presented to Thy Tran, Vice President of Global Frontend Procurement at Micron Technology, Inc. The ceremony celebrated the achievements of the semiconductor industry.

The 2022 GSA Awards Ceremony was held on Thursday, December 8, 2022.  Dr. Mark Liu, Chairman of TSMC presented Steven Sanghi, Executive Chair of Microchip Technology with the Dr. Morris Chang Exemplary Leadership Award.  The 2022 Rising Women of Influence recipient was presented to Caixia Jiang, Corporate Vice President of Software Development at AMD. The ceremony celebrated the achievements of the semiconductor industry and the excitement of being back together in person.

The 2021 Virtual GSA Awards Ceremony was held on Thursday, December 9, 2021.  Dr. Mark Liu, Chairman of TSMC presented Walden “Wally” C. Rhines, President & CEO of Cornami, Inc. with the Dr. Morris Chang Exemplary Leadership Award.  The 2021 Rising Women of Influence recipient was presented to Teresa McLaurin, Fellow & Sr. Director of DFT Architecture of ARM. The virtual ceremony featured videos from member companies around the globe with a theme of “Even though we are not physically together, we are connected.  There has never been a more exciting time to be in the semiconductor industry!”

The 2020 Virtual GSA Awards Celebration was held on Thursday, December 3, 2020.  Although the Dr. Morris Chang Exemplary Leadership Award committee elected to forego naming a recipient this year as it is preferred to give this prestigious, lifetime achievement award in person, the virtual ceremony included a presentation to honor past recipients.  The 2019 Rising Women of Influence recipient, Amber Huffman, Fellow and Chief Technologist of Data Center IP in the Silicon Engineering Group, Intel Corporation, presented Jaya Jagadish, Corporate Vice President, Silicon Design Engineering, AMD India, AMD with the 2020 Rising Women of Influence Award.

The 2019 GSA Awards Dinner Celebration was held on Thursday, December 5, 2019 at the Santa Clara Convention Center. Katie Linendoll, an Emmy Award-winning TV personality, writer, consumer technology expert, and one of the leading women in the field of technology served as the Master of Ceremonies. Mark Liu, Chairman of TSMC presented James C. Morgan, Chairman Emeritusof Applied Matierals, Inc. with the Dr. Morris Chang Exemplary Leadership Award. Last year’s winner Vanitha Kumar, Vice President, Engineering, Qualcomm Technologies, Inc., presented Amber Huffman, Fellow & Chief Technolgiest for Data Center IP in the Silicon Engineering Gropu, Intel with the Rising Women of Influence Award.

The 2018 GSA Awards Dinner Celebration was held on Thursday, December 6th, 2018 at the Santa Clara Convention Center. Stand-up comedian Wayne Cotter was the Master of Ceremonies. Dr. Lisa Su, President and CEO of AMD, was the recipient of the Dr. Morris Chang Exemplary Leadership Award, and Vanitha Kumar, Vice President, Engineering, Qualcomm Technologies, Inc., received the inaugural Rising Women of Influence Award.

The 2017 GSA Awards Dinner Celebration was held at the Santa Clara Convention Center in Santa Clara, CA, on Thursday, December 7, 2017. Five-time Emmy winner and Grammy nominee Wayne Brady hosted the 23rd GSA Awards Dinner Celebration. The Dr. Morris Chang Exemplary Leadership Award winner was Ray Stata, Co-founder and Chairman of Analog Devices, Inc..

The GSA Awards Dinner Celebration was held on Thursday, December 8, 2016 at the Santa Clara Convention Center. The featured speaker was Alec Ross, New York Times best selling author and former senior advisor for innovation at the state department. The Dr. Morris Chang Exemplary Leadership Award was presented to Lip-Bu Tan, President and CEO of Cadence Design Systems and Founder and Chairman of Walden International.

The GSA Awards Dinner Celebration was held on Thursday, December 10, 2015 at the Santa Clara Convention Center. The featured speaker was General Stan McChrystal, former Commander of U.S. and International Forces in Afghanistan and author of best-sellers Team of Teams and My Share of the Task. The Dr. Morris Chang Exemplary Leadership Award was presented to Ming-Kai Tsai, Chairman and CEO of MediaTek.

On December 11, 2014 GSA celebrated our 20th year anniversary at the annual GSA Awards Dinner Celebration. The night was a great success, as 1700 industry leaders commemorated the achievements of their peers and another incredible year for the semiconductor industry. The evening ended on a high note with a stand-up comedy performance from Jay Leno.

The GSA Awards Dinner Celebration was held on Thursday, December 12, 2013 at the Santa Clara Convention Center. The featured speaker was Steve Forbes, Chairman and Editor-in-Chief of Forbes Media. The Dr. Morris Chang Exemplary Leadership Award was presented to Dr. Sehat Sutardja and Weili Dai, Marvell Co-Founders.

The GSA Awards Dinner Celebration was held on Thursday, December 13, 2012 at the Santa Clara Convention Center. The featured speaker was Cal Ripken, Jr., Baseball’s Iron Man and Hall of Famer. The Dr. Morris Chang Exemplary Leadership Award was presented to Sir Robin Saxby, Founding CEO, ARM.
