Semiconductors are the driving force behind many of the world’s greatest technological innovations and closing the talent gap is a dire issue facing the industry. The need to hire thousands of engineers represents a weighty opportunity for women to fill these roles and for companies to help narrow the existing pervasive gender gap by unlocking the value that women can provide.

Through the Women’s Leadership Initiative (WLI), GSA and Accenture have teamed up to conduct a joint study of women in the semiconductor industry. Focused on the recruitment, retention, and advancement of women, this study includes:

  • Strategies to build the pipeline of qualified women candidates

  • Benefits that are key to retaining women in the workforce

  • Development programs critical to the advancement of women

  • Next steps: What can companies do? What can women do?
